The Peace in Death
Most times we see death as a villain, who brings pain, anguish and sadness but we have never tried looking at death in another perspective. No one knows the day they’ll die, even those who are no more didn’t know it’ll switch up on them that fast. We all have lost loved ones, friends, relatives and even colleagues in one way or the other but often times we tend to feel bad and discouraged at their demise. We do not take into account the peace they’ve acquired at that state of lifelessness. An anime character once made the statement below:
“As the living it is our responsibility to carry out the wishes of the ones who are gone.”
Mourning is a normal phenomenon to occur after the demise of a individual. As we all know the old saying that goes, “There’s no use crying over spilled milk”, (Not trying to be insensitive though or speak ill of the dead). Crying for days, weeks and months is not going to bring them back, instead we should think of the next line of action which is understanding this shit hole called LIFE and working towards attaining peace in DEATH. Life itself is a journey and death is the destination but at the same time we could call Death a new chapter of life, they both co-exist. Life itself is not fair that’s why we have a race called THE BLACKS.
“Why does thou weep upon my grave, And will not let me sleep?”
The above lyrics came from the song The Unquiet Grave, deciphering it shows how much we disturb the peace of those who have left their attachments in this world when we cry. There’s a lot to understand about death, I at a point defined death as the language only the soul understands. Its high time we start treating death as a hero and not a villain. Life is a hell hole filled with regrets, pain, suffering and futility, when you’ve come to realize this only then would you know the peace death gives.
“If we quit now, then all the dead would have died for nothing.”
In the end, let’s do all to make sure the deaths of the dead aren’t in vain.
Also remember, the reason why we say Rest In Peace(R.I.P) when one dies is because there’s PEACE IN DEATH.
